The New House.. without furniture

This is our new house. The flowerbeds need a lot of work, but that should be fixed in the next couple of weekends.

Living room...

Kitchen...

Dining room...

Hallway to bedrooms...

Hill behind the house...

Base cemetery, down the street...

Dan with a beard after 8 house hunting days...

If anyone knows of some low maitenance plants that would look nice in the flowerbeds, let me know.

Oh sweetie! It looks so cute! [The house...Dan looks a little rough] Is it about the same size as the one in MISSISSIPPI?

My suggestion: alysum - you can't kill it and it grows like crazy! Have fun. See ya in a couple of weeks.

Cute House! I love the french doors! There are lots of low-maintenance plants. Do you want annuals or perennials(sp)? Flowers, greenery, or colorful leaves? I'm so glad you are back on the map!

I love it! Just go to the nursery and get what you like, and if it grows where you are that's a good thing, if not don't buy that again. You can also become good friends with people in your neighborhood that have good plants and then get cuttings of those plants from them. Good way to get cheap plants and more friends!

That looks like so much fun. I'll bet you love it. For Omaha just about any plants. Low maintenance=look for perrenials.
They don't have to be planted year after year. But it is fun to plant something else next year. Marigolds and petunnias are easy but it's kind of late in the year. You could put some tulips and daffodils in now for next spring. That would be fun.
I hope you enjoy it a lot.
